Family with children riding camels in the Lahbab desert

Families & young children

A desert day the whole family actually enjoys

Gentle driving on request, morning options when the sand is cool, private space for naps and snacks — and camels, always camels.

How we look after young travellers

Gentle driving, always an option

Dune bashing sounds rough because it can be. Tell us the kids’ ages and our drivers keep the ride smooth — or skip bashing entirely on a private setup.

Mornings beat the heat

For under-7s, the morning desert is simply easier: cooler sand, softer light, and you are back at the hotel before lunch and naps.

Your own space when it matters

Private vehicles mean car seats stay put, snack breaks happen when they need to, and nobody else’s schedule decides your evening.

Honest pricing for kids

Children under 5 join shared tours free. Child rates are shown on every tour page — nothing hidden, nothing charged online.

Family questions, answered

Our drivers run child-friendly speeds on request, and children sit with parents in full-seatbelt 4×4s. For under-5s — or any nervous rider — choose gentle driving or a private setup with no bashing at all.

Under-5s join shared tours free. Child rates per tour are listed in every booking panel, and private-vehicle tours charge per vehicle, not per head.

Mornings: cooler, calmer, back by lunch. Evenings: the full camp programme with dinner and shows, but a later night. Most under-7s do better in the morning.

Foldable strollers travel in the vehicle; tell us in advance. For car seats, message us the child’s age and we will confirm what fits your vehicle.

Tell the driver immediately — dune routes can be shortened on the spot, and private tours can pause or head back whenever you say.
